Q Discuss the impact(s) that each of the demographic transitions has on modern society, both positive and negative; and the overall impact of the suite of transitions together on society as a whole
From our learning module we get to know that the theory of the demographic transition was re-launched in the year 1945. Social and economic development is the primary parameters of the demographic transition. The fall in the mortality rate is followed by the fall in fertility. The modernization theory talks about three things namely: high birth and death rates, the transition from high birth and death rates to low birth and death rates.
